Roto, in parallel

One shot.
Split into parts.
Roto'd all at once.

Drop a plate. We segment it into its parts, hand each part to a roto artist, and everyone works on the same shot at the same time in Nuke or Fusion. The mattes come back merged, driven from your one plate.

EXR, DPX, MOV, MP4. Any frame range. Nuke and Fusion native.

How it works

From one plate to a finished matte, without the queue.

Roto is slow because one artist works through a shot alone. We split the shot instead of the schedule.

01

Drop the shot

Send the plate in whatever you have: an EXR sequence, DPX, ProRes or an MP4 for a test. Tell us the frame range and what needs isolating.

02

AI segments it

The shot is broken into parts: people, limbs, props, vehicles, background. A supervisor checks the split and names each part.

03

Artists roto in parallel

Every part becomes its own Nuke or Fusion script reading the same plate. Many artists, one shot, at the same time.

04

Merged and delivered

The parts are joined back into one matte set in part order. You get each part on its own and the combined result.

What you get

Clean mattes that drop straight into your comp.

Per part

Every part on its own

Each part is delivered as its own alpha so you can grade, blur or re-time a head without touching the car.

Combined

One merged matte

A combined matte built in part order from the same plate, so the edges meet and nothing is roto'd twice.

Native

Nuke and Fusion scripts

Prefer the splines to the renders? The roto scripts come with the delivery, named by shot, part and version.

For roto artists

Pick up a part, not a whole shot.

Work from anywhere in Nuke or Fusion. Your part arrives as a ready script on the plate, with the AI rough already in it.

Start

Send a test shot.

Give us one shot and a frame range. We'll reply with a link to drop the plate and tell you how it will be split.
